Vitamin D3 regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus in the body, participates in the mineralization of bones and teeth, and in the formation of the musculoskeletal system. It is actively involved in various processes in the body and contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin D3 deficiency causes: rickets in newborns and children, impaired tooth enamel formation, growth retardation, pathologies of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems; in adults, a decrease in the immune system, osteomalacia, and in pregnant women, symptoms of tetany may develop.
