A mild alpha hydroxy acid solution that provides gentle yet effective exfoliation to the skin’s surface. Formulated with Tasmanian pepper extract, it reduces irritation and sensitivity that can be associated with acid use. It removes dead skin cells, evens out skin tone, and gives the epidermis a more even appearance. The pH of the formula is approximately 3.8, with lactic acid having a pKa of 3.8. In this case, pKa is the most important aspect to consider when formulating with acids. pKa refers to the availability of the acid. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, which enhances the effectiveness of the acid and reduces irritation.

Aqua (Water), Lactic Acid, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum, Isoceteth-20, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Hydroxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol.

Usage instructions

Use once daily in the evening. Formula may be diluted with other products to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Do not use on sensitive, peeling or damaged skin. Avoid eye area and contact with eyes. Skin contact should be limited in frequency or duration. If irritation occurs, rinse, discontinue use and consult a physician. Warning: This product contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), which may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and especially the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen when applying serum.
